This one day course, part of the East of England Higher Surgical Trainee Cadaveric Simulation programme, has been mapped to the intercollegiate surgical curriculum with funding from NHS England. Faculty from across the region will facilitate hands on training for regional higher trainees, ST3-8.
Course content:
• Laparoscopic and open cholecystectomy • Laparoscopic and open duodenal/ gastric ulcer perforation • Laparoscopic approaches to the hiatus • Distal gastrectomy • Splenectomy • Diaphragmatic herniation and repair • Visceral rotation and access to retroperitoneal structures.
Eligibility to attend
This is a NHS England funded course only open to Higher Surgical Trainees in a ST3-8 post in the East of England.
