The ‘CPG POCUS course’ is designed to provide insight into the recognition and management of the
deteriorating infant using point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). This one-day course includes focused
sessions on POCUS applications in the brain, lungs, heart, abdomen, and vascular access. Participants
will benefit from a mix of lectures, video case discussions, and simulation-based skill stations. The course
aims to build foundational POCUS competence, highlighting that systemic POCUS is a screening tool
and not a replacement for full investigations.
Program Highlights
• Simulation: 'Crashing Neonate' with debrief on systemic POCUS
• Cranial, Lung, Cardiac, and Abdominal Ultrasound Lectures
• Vascular Access Ultrasound Techniques
• Afternoon Hands-on Skills Stations
• Closing Remarks, Feedback, and Evaluation
