A one-day course to increase confidence of Nurses, in recognising and managing immediate acute post-operative complications for children in the recovery room
This course will cover a wide range of paediatric post-operative emergency situations, teaching both clinical skills and management strategies in a simulated environment.
The day will include:
● Interactive seminars
● practical demonstrations/skills stations
● role-play clinical scenarios
Throughout, debrief sessions will be used, during which the candidates are encouraged to reflect on their actions and to consider learning
A full-day course designed for Nurses, limited to 16 candidates per course
TIMINGS & VENUE
The course is scheduled to run from 09:15 - 16:30 with registration beginning at 09:00 in the David Dunn Suite and Simulation Centre, Addenbrooke's Hospital, CB2 0QQ. Catering and refreshments are provided on this course as part of the fee.
