The online Preparing for the Consultant role course is open to senior trainees, who are ideally within one year of CCT.
The course will include:
- Getting ready to apply for the consultant role
- Preparing your application, including pre-interview visits
- The interview, to include practice presentations and interviews
- Understanding NHS structures and processes and writing a business case
- Chairing meetings
- Giving evidence in the coroner's court
- Responding to patient complaints
A full programme will be sent to delegates nearer the date of the course. The start and end time for each day are as follows:
Day One: 09.00 until 18.00
Day Two: 09.00 until 15.45
