A half-day VR simulation course for Addenbrooke's Foundation doctors
HEE now incorporate virtual reality simulation training into their simulation training programme, the first deanery to commit on a large scale. This allows both group work and individualised simulation using a custom built system and Oculus Rift. Custom developed programmes of 10 simulations changing with each foundation year are installed with individualised log in and feedback. The rationale is that they are 'skills and drills' scenarios for you to practice to be confident and capable of approaching similar scenarios in the workplace. We have 2 complete setups for Foundation use and are pleased to offer one facilitated VR session as a small group.
5 of these scenarios will be faciliated sessions run in the Simulation Centre with experienced faculty
The FY2 sessions will run in the afternoon (12.30-16.00)
