This Safe Sedation course is an interactive study day consisting of lectures, skills stations and simulated scenarios. This course also covers guidelines, recommendations, pharmacology and sedation techniques related to procedural sedation.
This is an opportunity to take part in a course on safe sedation, delivered by friendly and experienced faculty. The course is developed and led by Dr A Prakash (Consultant Anaesthetist at Cambridge University Hospitals) and co-organised by of Lisa Wood (Critical Care Outreach Nurse at Cambridge).
Dr Prakash developed the very successful Safe Sedation for Medics Study Day, for multi-disciplinary clinicians which is accredited by RCP, RCoA and CUHFT.
This course is specifically designed for all Senior Nurses/AHPs practicing procedural sedation in A&E, Radiology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology and Cardiology.
Numbers are limited to 12 candidates per course with a limit of 3 delegates from each stream.
The course is scheduled to run from 09:00 - 16:30 with registration beginning at 08:45.

The course is £35 for internal candidates (nurses currently working at Cambridge University Hospital). The fee for external candidates is £75.
